Review: Need for Speed - Most Wanted

First things first, as expected with games on the market now, the graphics are great. Rain, trees, reflections and of course the cars, are all well done. It's a believable atmosphere where you can forget your sitting in your chair and get involved with what your doing. The cars themselves are pretty stock, I mean, how hard is it to throw in every 'sport' or 'ricer' vehicle on the market into a game. It would have been nice to see maybe some alternative cars though, something a little more 'fun' I guess. Personally, id love to supe up a hummer (H1 preferably, but we all know they would throw the H2 or H3 in there). Sure its not your typical ricer car, but common, not everyone's goal in life is to drive a viper guys. Hell, even a few trucks would be nice, those are used in races quite a bit, and there are defiantly some nice ones out there. So, not a huge deal, but for me, your average gamer, its something.

The other thing I didn't see, or at least not yet (correct me if im wrong) is the lack of cops during LAN games.. how hard would that have been? They were in your second game, I mean common! As fun as it is racing around in circles with 4 friends on a lan over and over, at least with a few cops it could have been fun. Even better if I could be a cop and chase my friends around town! Oh well, one of those missed things that I would have liked to see.

Lastly ill pick on the 'objective'. Wait, there isn't one... well I guess if you call running around a city ricing out your ride to beat people on a 'blacklist' better then you.. I guess... then again, what the hell else would you do in this game?

Other then the above, it is a fairly decent game. I'm playing it with a keyboard and I'm sure to hell think it would be much better with a steering wheel instead. Its keeping my interest which is hard to do in a single player game… so ill give it that anyhow...

All in all, I give it 3 ½ army guys out of 5
