Years ago, I was in Walmart during Christmas and on the shelf were about twenty 1:18 Scale Die-cast Ecto-1 cars priced at 40 bucks a piece. I pulled one down and while contemplating the reasons why I should not get 2 or 3 of them, the GF at the time reminded me that Christmas was coming and to hold off in case someone got me one already.. While I didn't quite understand the logic behind why having more of them would be a bad thing, I did end up putting it back on the shelf figuring one had already been wrapped up and waiting for me to open.

Despite the many things I did receive, Ecto-1 was not one of them that year . I know, I know... you're all (and by "you're all" I mean you and the one or two others who read this site) really sad and wondering where the hell I'm going with this story....

Anyhow, I went back to Walmart to pick one up only to find out they were a limited run and they weren't being made anymore, AND other Walmarts had no stock! I guess news got out quick, because hitting up Ebay shortly after has resulted in the same $40 car being sold for $300+ which, as cool as the thing is, and as much as I wanted it, I just wasn't willing to pay that much.

After years of being a Sad Panda however, Hot Wheels released a new Collectors Edition of the car and I was able to pick one up for $80 bucks! Shipped to my door, I think the total came to just under $100 and after all this time, I now have my Ecto-1!

I know I know, first-world problem right there... haha.. but it's one of the few "collector" things I own so shut it and let me have my moment will ya

So I get home today, and what's sitting on my screen to welcome me back from a hard days work? That's right, an invite to the Beta version of the Steam Mobile App...

Why is this no good? Let me explain...

Assuming Steam has your credit card on tap like mine is, it takes EXACTLY 4 mouse clicks to purchase ANY game in their library.. 4 mouse clicks! You can't even bring up porn in less mouse clicks then that.. okay wait... let me rephrase that.. You cant even bring up decent porn in under 4 clicks..

The only thing stopping me most of the time from emptying my wallet on Steam sales is the fact that with my short term memory (or onset of Alzheimer's, I'm not sure which yet), is that I MAY forget about it during the 20 minute train ride from work to home. Not anymore!

So, I found a little poker table on Kijiji for 20 bucks, and it was in great shape, but the more I played, and the more i Had friends over, the more i wanted a larger, more "professional" table.. however, as everyone knows, Im a cheap bastard, and no way I was going to pay 700 bucks for a table...

So.. found a table on Kijiji for 20 bucks, bought the cloth, material for another 30 bucks, and an afternoon in the garage...

BAM! New poker table, for under 50 bucks! :)
