My Portal Room Project
January 27, 2012

Hello and, again, welcome to the Aperture Science computer-aided enrichment center--- er, my Portal Room project

So the spare room I have my computer in has been a neutral beige color since I bought the house 3 years go… not because I liked the color or anything, but more or less because I didn’t know what color I actually wanted.. Then it hit me… I own the house; I can do whatever the hell I want! Why should I just choose a color… why not create myself an entire theme room?!? My only question… what theme?

Although the foundation of my childhood was largely based around the Mario Brothers / NES era of gaming, I just wasn’t sold on the idea of having a room based around it. It took me a little while, but I finally decided on doing up a theme based on the game Portal / Portal 2.

Now I’m not claiming too be the first one to do this (While Googling for ideas I found about 2 or 3 others), but by adding my own touches I would create a room which ill enjoy spending some time in.

Instead of just one long-ass article of everything I did, I created smaller individual write-ups of each project that I worked on. Click on any of the projects you are interested in reading more about, or skip directly to the room’s gallery if you just want to see how everything turned out.
