Telnets' Total E-Slayer Conversion Guide
Oct 02, 2009

Last year I picked up a Traxxas Slash and absolutely love it. As far as stock racing goes, I wouldn’t want another truck… but when it came time to play with the big boys on the track, I needed something with more speed, durability and 4WD. Naturally I turned to the Traxxas Slayer, but I didn’t want the maintenance of a Nitro, so that’s where my never-ending project began: To get a brushless electric Slayer.

Consider this a GUIDE to what you need to do/know. It is NOT a step-by-step write-up, please don’t email me asking how to unscrew the skid plates from your Revo :) You can also use this guide to find out what you need to just convert your Nitro Revo to an electric. Just ingore the Slayer suspension parts and the conversion is the same.

There are 4 ways you can end up with an E-Slayer and I will cover them individually as well as include a parts list at the end of each for you to reference. Just click on the conversion you are thinking about doing below:

Once you've read up on your conversion hop on over to the next section, it contains some "Things to Consider" before you start your project:

Finally, I'll complete the guide by answering some of the more frequent questions I get asked like gearing, tire selection, batteries, and even a few tips to make your conversion go a bit more smoothly.
